Kapar MP also target of Selangor Treasury audit

Hot on the heels of Kelana Jaya MP Wong Chen revealing that his office had been subjected to an audit under "mysterious circumstances", PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli has disclosed that another Selangor MP has also been subjected to an audit.
Rafizi claimed that Kapar MP G Manivannan's office was also audited by the Selangor state treasury, similar to Wong.
"No (my office was not audited). Wong and Manivannan (were the ones audited).
"If there is any improper accounting or expenses, then take action as soon as possible.
"If there is none, then move on as soon as possible," Rafizi told reporters at his NGO Invoke's headquarters in Sungai Besi today.
Yesterday, Wong lamented that the Selangor state treasury had conducted an audit on his office without his knowledge.
The audit examined his office's spendings in 2014 and 2015, and it was conducted in March 2016, he had said in a lengthy Facebook post.
Wong said he felt like his office had been denied the right to be heard regarding audit findings of not complying with Selangor guidelines, and noted it could have been clarified easily by asking him or his staff and requesting for documents.

When contacted about Rafizi's claim, Manivanan merely said he was out of his office and as such, cannot comment further.
"It (audit) is an internal matter so I need to check first if I can make any statements," he said.
Asked whether he had faced similar issues, Manivanan said, "that is Wong Chen. We be patient first. Wait for their (state government)'s reaction."- Mkini
